Comments (6)Actually, while I am disappointed in the delay of spring, I am not totally disheartened by it. We have had drought here so much that all I can think is "maybe we will have enough extra moisture to help carry us over the dry spells to come." While I know it is cool and damp now, in a few months we will be cursing the heat and drieness, then it will be the wind, rain and cold, and finally the snow, cold and gloom of winter. I can not think of a place I would rather live than here in the North American continent. Comments (6)It needs a smaller pot with holes in the bottom. Edited to add, being in a big pot won’t make it grow faster or bigger. That could actually cause the roots to rot because the potting mix will stay too wet. So repot....See MoreFeeling discouraged
Comments (16)What Cearbhail said! I've put up dozens of those fences and they are very easy to install. You don't need special equipment, just some heavy duty wire cutters. You can make them free standing or use metal fence stakes to securely position the bigger ones. You can attach them with wire twists or plastic zip ties. You can make them so you can open them up by creating a hooked closure with the wire. The only downside is the fencing is expensive, but it lasts forever. Use it at the beginning when the growth is especially delicious to deer. It's unsightly but eventually it blends into the background. So worth it. We are getting daily rain in MI. I think that is part of the problem with the liquid animal repellents. Despite what the bottles claim, they do get washed away/diluted . . ....See Moreladygibbs
