Hi what type of Epi's do you have? I already have a night blooming white one and just got a couple of cuttings from a orange and yellow one I would like to fine some red and purple or red and white or just some reds and orange vatieties. Do you have any of them? Thanks George W. Z5-6 MO.

ill have to look for some rooting hormone cause unless its an accident of a leaf falling out and landing in the same pot with its mother (which to my surprise when picking up the leave) started to sprout a baby! - but when trying from fresh leaves in there own soil after a few days (i've even tried just putting them into the dirt without waiting) i've had absolutely no luck just a bunch of shriveled leaves :( ... some of my plants I have saved from being mistreated at small stores where they are never watered and all ripped apart and stretching for sun I've specifically bought and brought home so when they are nursed back to health I can try prop-ing with but have had no luck and now some of my plants are looking a little skanky with not many leaves on them, and I'm super worried to start pulling more until they kinda recover... but its not too attractive to have leaveless plants with long stems left sitting on the windowsill lol! but what can I say - I seem to have more luck by accident then by actually trying!

Ok so an update of sorts. Being incredibly paranoid, I made the grand trek to our nearest Target and procured a few things - gloves, small shovels, sand, a plastic pumpkin [to be converted to a pot], and a small plastic trash can [also to be converted to a pot]. Additionally, I deemed it worth the struggle to pull all the plants out of their soil, and boy oh boy were the results interesting. (I've posted photos below) Plant 1's roots were completely rotted away, but the rot hadn't quite reached the plant itself, so I pulled some of it to dry and propagate. Plants 2-4 are all root bound. I can't tell if they're so root bound that it's going to be the cause of their demise? I need help on this front. However, their roots overall still seem healthy. Also, in the process of taking them out, I removed their supports. They had just been transplanted (as Rina mentioned) which is why they had supports, their roots had not taken hold. Now, obviously, I know that the fact they were root bound caused that. So a few questions: How should I mix the sand and soil to improve the drainage? It was really really really wet, so I'm letting it dry out now. My room is VERY humid. I can't even hang dry clothes, they stay damp for days. Given the above, how should I adjust my watering? I noticed that the top soil will be very dry while the bottom soil is absolutely soaked. Should I plant in shallower pots to avoid this? What's the best way to propagate my Haworthia? I thank all of you for your help. This morning I took out the problem succulents and brushed off the dirt as best they would allow. Could you help me identify what is root rot, how do the roots look if they're healthy or if they are rotted? The smaller succulents at the bottom all have relatively shorter roots, and the soil around them was dry. The bigger succulent in the top photo had tightly compact soil around its roots that I found almost impossible to break off without tearing out all its roots with it! It was completely bone dry, I think that is what you all meant by hydrophobic; it was so tight and dry no water was getting through. In the photo you can see some water droplets, where I sprayed lightly with a spray bottle onto the dry soil. All the arrangements you see above are temporary, my main goal is to prepare them all for the nice, larger planter I am creating. I live outside of the US, so I am afraid any brand names or chain stores you mention won't be of any use to me, 'tis why I am trying to make with the best I have, or find similar products by other names. I do realize I have regular potting soil, I went out and got some grit, like small pebbles and clean sand, witch which I plan to mix it altogether like suggested.
