Hi everyone my names Travis. I'm new to forums. My koi fish just laid eggs in my pond about a week ago and I captured them on this green egg catcher. Eggs never last in my pond. I took them out put them in a clean un used garbage can with pond water. Over the weekend they hatched. A couple hundred I think. They been in there about a week with an aerator. When can I put them into my pond. Will the fish eat them. They look like pencil tips.if so I will have to turn off my filter so they don't get sucked up right away.

I shoulda stayed home and slept in!! LOL Yesterday was one of those days that makes you appreciate the GOOD tournament days!! About the ONLY thing that went right was that I got up on time!! After that, it went right down hill!! Oh well-- atleast I didn't get skunked. I only caught two-- one was just under 1 1/2 pounds, and the other was 2 pounds 6 ounces. The only two bites I got all day, and I was able to land both of them, so I guess that was another good thing. :-) All day long, I figured it was just a real tough fishing day, and for most of us, it was. But there were two guys in the club who must have unlocked the secret. One came in with a 5 fish bag weighing 19 pounds 9 ounces, including lunker smallmouth of 4 pounds 2 ounces. He even had a 6+ pound largemouth, but that didn't win lunker largemouth! That was taken by the guy who took second place-- 4 fish totallying just over 16 pounds, and anchored (LITERALLY) by this 7 pound 11 ounce PIG: Oh well-- there's always NEXT week!! :-)

I've lived next to a tournament bass fisherman. They live to get from fishing hole to fishing hole as fast as possible. They have competitions on their personal boats for getting oomph into the engines. The loud noise and smoke on Sundays while they tuned their engines is one reason why I used to live next to a tournament bass fisherman. Sorry, but those kind of serious fishermen would consider a nice quiet lake like that to be completely out of the question. That's a leisure lake, for the retired sit in the sun on the dock kinda fisherman. Market to them! But those kinda folks want easy access to emergency services, doctors, and hospital access. Chart those 15 minute routes and use that as a selling point. Make a list of local doctors and their specialties. And they want to go grocery shopping close, without having to worry about ending up some place "unsavory". That's where it's going to all fall apart for anyone out of the area considering the home. People use Google Maps second nature these days. They'll check out the whole location without ever leaving their armchairs. Are there any plans by the community to address this unsavory area? Downtown redevelopment? New industries coming to town? Who is taking on that challenge? Without some plan by the community to try to address the reputation of the town, out of towners only have that existing reputation to judge the place by. You're not going to be able to hide it, so find a way to address the problem head on.
