Have you used dryer balls?

One of our local news stations has a feature on the early morning weekday news - a guy who shares good buys/bargains. Hubs was apparently listening to him one day last week and later asked me about "dryer balls". The ones advertised were woolzies brand. They told you could reduce drying time, etc. I later looked them up and ordered a set from Jet. I've used them in 3 or 4 loads of laundry. I am interested to see if they will cut static electricity (usually only a problem in cold weather). Clothes definitely come out of the dryer with less wrinkles. I'm not sure if loads dry in less time because I don't used timed cycles. I do think the load of towels I did seemed a bit "fluffier". Anyone else tried them? Thoughts?

PS - I never, every use dryer sheets but I do use liquid softener in most other loads (other than towels, jeans, etc.).
