I would also be very interested in acquiring a double-flower Rangoon Creeper. Am in zone 9b, SW Florida. I have a single bloom plant I put in the ground about 8-9 years ago. Grows so well it's almost pesty. Needs frequent trimming. Blooms like crazy We've had hard winters here the past 2 years and I thought I lost it, but it came back both times. Not as many blossoms this year but it is blooming now = mid June. GREAT plant.

I would think at least til mid to late April. As a tropical it slow to come out so be patient for now. How low did you get at your location?? And how long?? They survive the high teens in a pot as I have seen this several times while working at Schumacher's Hill Country Gardens. Low teens and single digits might is more a problem and would be where I would question if it comes back (which is why I don't grow it here at a cold spot at Canyon Lake. Happy Growing David

Hehe guys..I love my double both day and night. Mine is really fragrant during the day though. Falguni, double variety can bloom earlier than single. It can bloom the first year itself. It can be only 6". It cannot be treated as a houseplant since it goes dormant indoors. In winters this plant basically drops all the leaves and awakens only when the temps increases. I don't know how the single takes to bloom and its fragrance but have heard that it takes around 2 yrs to bloom. Tom you shd see a double bloom in its glory. You will change your mind :)
