I'll tell you what I don't like, the handles on the drawers just to the right of the sink. Looks like an old-time bottle opener.

Jim, those handles are cup pulls. Still very popular, although I agree, I am not a fan of them myself.

Mmmm, maybe something happens with the top cabinet above the fridge? Although this one is kind of high, some put a hidden TV up there.

Well I guess it's not the obvious refrigerator and either freezers on the bottom or 2 beverage coolers (which my brother-in-law has in his kitchen).

Other than being 'too small to swing a cat', with an awkward dishwasher that blocks the aisle when open and no exhaust hood...I deighnaugh.

It's a tiny kitchen and I think they've made very clever use of every possible space. And it's nice looking, too.

Mama Goose, I thought those looked like functioning toe kick drawers too. I could have used them in my old kitchen where every square inch counted. Not so much in this one, although bet I would still put extras of cooling racks, cookie sheets, cutting boards there....just nothing I would have to reach for often.

I was thinking the toe kicks too. With a paneled fridge, I would think the toe kick wouldn't have a break in it and have an obvious "door" effect. At the same time, it doesn't look wide enough to hold large sheets?

Our drawer was recessed and couldn't be seen. I never thought of storing cookie sheets in it! It was mainly used for 'secret' stuff. Extra cheque books, passports, etc. LOL

I love secret hidey holes. We have several in our house/furniture. Not as cool as these that Annie's been showing us, tho.

I've seen the toe kick drawers on the Kitchens forum--housing a folding step-stool--or the pull-out is, itself, a step stool/platform. Under the sink would be a good spot, as the kids start doing dishes. I remember standing on a kitchen chair when my mother taught me to do dishes.

Wait, is that what is hidden then? I was looking for obvious and this was the most obvious I could find. I had never heard of them being drawers before.

If those are toe kick drawers could they be for dog food and water bowls?

Now that I'm off my phone and on the computer, I can see that those are definitely drawers.

I think toe kick drawers are the neatest thing--especially in a small kitchen. Mushcreek, on the Kitchens forum, took a different tack and incorporated the toe kick space into the bottom drawer on each of his base cabinets.

Got it! I'd like them if they don't collect dust and pet hair, which is my first thought about getting them. I wonder if they are expensive. It is a great use of space.
