We are building a new home. The kitchen, dining, living, and breakfast rooms are all open to each other so I'm looking for a color scheme that will work in all rooms. The kitchen cabinets are antique white, trim is white, fireplace is black slate. The floor is medium walnut laminate. At first I was leaning towards a gray, but I'm worried about gray turning the antique white cabinets yellow. I'm thinking maybe a blue would work, I prefer warm inviting rooms. My favorite colors are blue, yellow, purple, and lighter shades of gray. I do not like green or orange. Any suggestions for paint colors that would have several variations of dark and light so that the rooms would flow but also be distinct? I don't have much existing furniture and it's very neutral (linen colored) so I should be able to do whatever I like. I prefer Sherwin Williams paint, but am open to Benjamin Moore colors as well.
