Found on Amazon but quite expensive for 3.99 with 6.99 shipping. I need 3 so that is like 3.33 each. I feel like I could find these for much less in person. Maybe I should call Ace and see what they say.

You need the cable and the cable clamps. Make loops, clamp loops

Often called "airplane cable" ... it's in the garage door area, or with the bulk wire spools, because its main use is as the restraint cable on garage door openers.

Are your hinges not adjustable to restrict the opening to the desired area?

I have IKEA Lillanjen cabinets as extra storage, so they don't have adjustable hinges that I know of. The ones posted above are the ones I have in my kitchen and work perfectly! I just don't want to spend $30 for three of them.

Posted this on the Kitchen Forum. Blum sells Hinge restrictors. They fit as part of the hinge. Other hinge markers also have them available.

Thank you homepro. I'm not sure whether Lillanjen (since it is a bathroom cabinet line) also has Blum hardware. I know the kitchen lines do. Any ideas? I looked at the cabinet and it just says Ikea on the hinges. If I order the hardware I just want to make sure it fits!

Is the picture of your kitchen cabinet? Are they IKEA cabinets? That does not look like IKEA because those look like face frame cabinets not frameless. All IKEA stuff is Blum. Blum makes it for IKEA. A majority of the Blum items fit the IKEA system. The Blum stuff is more expensive. Also, are you IKEA Kitchen cabinets Akurum or Sektion? I have not looked at the bathroom lines but I think the frameless option from Blum will work. Let me check the Blum catalog and I will get back to you.

Not an expert on the hinges but look at Page 56 in the Blum hinge catalog. Also, look at page 90. It depends on the type of hinge that IKEA provided the items are about $3.

Our cabinets have small round plastic bumpers on them to prevent damage should the door swing open too far.

Those straps remind me of what keeps our truck tailgate from dropping too far.
