Comments (7)Quilt girl--that's really beautiful. No, my setup works fine even if you wanted to go the scribed route. But, I guess I became concerned a few weeks ago when I read on here that the granite/countertop would have to be removed to change out the sink if the sink ever needed to be replaced. But, with a larger sink base that was not the case. The sink could be easily replaced from underneath without removing the countertop. Too late for my kitchen, but thought I might save you a little trouble by mentioning it. Hopefully, the sink in my kitchen will last forever. Good luck in whatever you decide....See More30 inch, 32 inch or 36 inch farm sink?
Comments (15)@Ellen Allard My sink is from Havens Metal. Havens Metal When I was remodeling I did a lot of research on copper sinks once I decided I wanted one and so I knew that I wanted a sink that had a living patina and not any kind of artificial factory patina. The sink is expensive - a luxury but I love it. The other maker of high quality sinks is Rachiele and they are equivalent. Havens actually fabricated the Rachiele sinks for many years until they went their separate ways. When I purchased my sink, Havens was about $1000 less for the same configuration. The quality is equivalent but Havens is a slightly larger operation and makes more than sinks so they have economy of scale to some degree. I do have a less expensive copper sink in my guest bath with an artificial factory finish. I was fine with that because it just doesn't get the same kind of wear from people washing their hands a few times a week. That sink is from Premier Copper Products. I mention them because they do have some great copper stuff that is well priced. My hood is a custom job from them and they also did a custom copper medallion my designer sketched for them. I also have some copper tiles from them interspersed in my back splash as well as switch plates. Premier Copper...See MoreSink size for 36' base cabinet?
Comments (23)I sold the unit, so have to dig up a kitchen photo. I made a mistake on the sink I mentioned. I bought the 25" sink (outer dimension) with a 23" interior width. https://www.amazon.com/Kraus-KA1US25B-Undermount-Antibacterial-Stainless/dp/B088XSDTM2/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Kraus+25%22+sink&qid=1637870145&qsid=140-9070209-0773938&sr=8-2&sres=B088XSDTM2%2CB07HGTTQP8%2CB07SKKXYK7%2CB005HH0Z2O%2CB07B999MPR%2CB08286QR8L%2CB075SBVR6F%2CB0183W4N0Y%2CB0032C5YGI%2CB077F11TYR%2CB07NDBXW6G%2CB07FKWDL43%2CB00E6SP5R0%2CB07B95VJC5%2CB0042D33IC%2CB07NBRD84C%2CB003U26QZS%2CB0183W4MTQ%2CB0032BWTSU%2CB0183W4MZK&srpt=SINK...See MoreLargest Sink in a 36 inch sink base?
Comments (8)With all due respect to others, I have a 35-1/8" sink in my 36" sink base w/o any modifications needed to my sink base...that's 35-1/8" exterior width (i.e., it includes a 1" rim all around...so the interior is less.) My sink base does have 1/2" walls, so the opening is 35". If those who are saying 33" is max sink width mean interior sink width, then OK; but, if they mean exterior, then I have to disagree based on my experience. Here are the dimensions of my sink... The newer S405D's are another 1/8" wide...35-1/4" wide. The GTS site says this sink requires a minimum 36" sink base.
