Comments (33)Love the workspace, NT! Love the floor,SLOW! We are about to build on to our Barnhouse (build in? The walls and ceiling are already there, just expanding further into the existing barn.) We are going to build a new bigger (yay!) bedroom for ourselves, and expand the living room, and add a school room (yay some more!) BUT--I will probably live with OSB type bedroom floor for a while, can't afford to carpet it AND the living room. Maybe I'll take some inspiration from your floor, SLOW... And my NEW SHOP is sitting on a property 20 miles north of here, waiting for us to figure out how to move it...but I keep eyeballing that schoolroom space and thinking I could sure make that do double duty. The boys only need it for school in the morning...Right this minute I keep having to refocus them on their math......See MoreDoes anybody have an easy table runner?
Comments (8)What about three easy star patterns from Quilterscache.com done in Christmas fabrics or in fabrics that will go well with the colors in their kitchen or dining room? Here's an idea: why not use a heavy-weight interfacing or flannel in place of batting; it will sit flatter on the table than a quilted runner will and provide a more stable base for anything that is placed upon it (like a bowl of flowers or fruit or candlesticks) AND you really don't have to quilt it if you don't want to - or just do some basic machine quilting straight lines to accent the pattern. I've done this before with table squares and placemats and prefer no batting for these items. Teresa...See MoreDoes this table work in my space
Comments (15)Sorry for the missunderstanding! I love the entry table, your house looks great! The entry table looks like it belongs there, with all the light fixtures, fireplace, couch and dining room table decor. You can keep all the decor around the entry table as well, it has a collected friendly look:) The dining table itself can be made to blend in as well if it had different chairs:) so if planning to change down the road, just changing the chairs would be a possibility!...See MoreWhich leather bench works better with my entryway decor/styling?
Comments (26)The photos of the bench are really small. The black one looks grey-ish, which I don't care for, and the brown bench is not so very brown. If you do black, it should really be black, and if you do brown, it should be a rich chocolate brown. I also don't favor the woven strips of leather. They are not very sturdy and tend to give way to people's weight over the years. That bench will tend to have a lot of use with people of all sizes sitting on it to put on and off their shoes and boots. An upholstered or reinforced bench or ottoman covered in leather will be far sturdier....See MoreRelated Professionals
