Mori, are you specifically looking for a yellow hybrid tea? If you're worried about wintering them HTs will be the most tender and suffer the most die back probably. You might want to look at some floribundas or shrubs instead. They tend to be hardier. Julia Child is one I know is hardy but there is also a new one out called Sparkle & Shine, although I don't know about it's hardiness yet.

Yes. I have an Electrolux EL1000A2 Pronto Bagless Stick Cyclonic Vacuum. I love the thing. It is cordless so you can take it all over the house without having to plug and unplug the thing over and over like my last Dirt Devil one that I had. It has the best suction of any I have ever tried. Best of all it can be converted into a little handheld vacuum for cleaning the couch or auto interior. I was going to buy a handheld vacuum and also needed a new stick vacuum. When I saw this model it was like getting a 2-4-1 deal. It even looks pretty sitting in it's charging stand. Expect to pay a little more for this machine than other stick vacuums though. I mentioned this vacuum in another post recently. I have no connection to Electrolux or any vacuum business.

Good writers can't be hermits, but writing is a solitary pursuit. Very few people could be like Jane Austen, sitting at a table in the middle of the family as they go about their daily business. I'm lucky, as my other job is teaching, so I get plenty of social interaction-and most of it is with my target audience! I have been in a class when they realize that the story they are reading has my name on it-great fun. Editing is a completely different animal-I have editied both fiction and non-fiction, and non-fiction is much easier. Fiction is much more emotional. When my children were younger, it was very hard to find the time to write during the day-so I wrote in the evenings when Daddy would do kid duty, or at night after bed time, or before they woke in the morning. Fortunately for me, I like to get up early and putz around before the day starts anyway. Now that they are grown and out, I can write during the work day like normal people-but the habits of years are still there and morning or evening suits me best. My editors are one or two time zones behind, so we can still communicate in their office hours if need be.

I haven't been to the Japanese markets since the pandemic started because there are always long lines to get in. The stores tend to be crowded and have narrow aisles, which is not ideal, but next month I should be okay about going, since my vaccinations will be complete and in effect. I do have kewpie mayonnaise, but only use it when I make okonomiyaki. I think I need some more okonomiyaki sauce. I could make it myself, but one of the ingredients is ketchup (I think), and I never stock ketchup. I suppose I could use tomato paste instead. I never buy mustard anymore, now that I have found a recipe for it that I like, and I have a good supply of mustard seeds and powder.
