Either one would look great to add color to your room. Where is the first one from?

I have to ask: What is that large blue thing? Will it remain? Currently it's all I see when I look at your room. I'm not a design guru in the least, but if you intend to keep it, wouldn't you want something in the rug that gives a nod to the blue?

I love rugs with personality. It's not something that you have to commit to forever. I love area rugs!!

I like the second one for your room.

I couldn't help but notice that your furniture is angular, modern and monochromatic except for that bright blue chair.. I think it would make it more difficult to choose a rug with that piece in place, and the style seems to fight with the rest of the furniture. I also like aktillery's choice of rug best.

What about something like this? You might want to take a look through ecarpetgallery and see if there's anything there strikes your fancy, using the various filters for size, color, etc. I looked for wool mostly because it wears better than silk.

This is definitely a unique rug. It has loads of color.

Do you like bold patterns or an allover design? What about blue, green and/or gold instead of orange?
