If you are talking about the old 5x5 vertical Kracker Keeper it's a discontinued item. You can find them on eBay. Never saw one with a red seal.

I have one. I use it for snacks for my grandson. Mine is actually from Christie. I bought it probably 25-30 years ago. It had a box of Christie Premium Crackers inside of it.

It was made, as I have one. I was wondering though, maybe the red lid one was a hostess gift as they are very rare and most online have the white lids. Mine came from somewhere around 1968 to the early mid Seventies. A family member used to be a rep and I got a hand me down years later that was just like new. It is 5 x 5 inches x ten inches tall. Oh, and the crackers when I got it fit like a glove, not anymore .... talk about downsizing.

The one that Debby posted looks like it was a promotional freebie with cracker purchase. I have cheese keepers that have the Velveeta Cheese logo on them when Tupperware once partnered with Kraft for a promotion.

Never owned one. For some reason I was thinking the main body was red with a white lid.

My Tupperware cracker keeper has the white lid--I never knew there was one with a red lid. Most of my Tupperware is very old (I was a dealer in the early 1970s), and I would love to replace some of the old pieces--but they no longer make some of my favorites. I wish they would bring back the old ones.

I'm always on the look-out for "old" T-ware at yard sales & thrift stores. Colors, patterns, sets don't matter to me. I just look for pieces that have TIGHT fitting lids that are in good shape. Larger ones are great for taking food to picnic/BBQ. Ya know you're potato salad won't be all over the back seat with a good T-ware seal. And if I only spent $.50-1.00... doesn't matter if I bring it home. I like anything square/rectangular and BIG for panty storage. A large container to put bags of rice, small pasta, beans, etc. in... keeps critters away. From that picture that was a GREAT deal for a piece of Tupperware!

I seem to recall seeing similar containers at Target, they would be Rubbermaid, but there's likely Sterlite and other brands that would do the job as well if they were the size you wanted. The first thing I thought of when I read this was the size change would affect the unit and I see it did!

Yeah, I'm going to ck them out also. However, I am mostly a Tupperware girl and it will always be my first choice

Does anyone know how to get rid of the stickiness inside old T-ware? I was going to ask at the party tonight, but didn't go due to bad weather.

I use a metal canister. The crackers have downsized so that the sleeves are real loose. They used to fit snug.

I have an old metal Saltine canister. It never occurred to me to actually use it LOL. Duh! I love old tupperware! I bought taco holders on Ebay-now my loaded tacos don't tip over on my plate! The canister sets are great for sugar, flour, etc. I bought a complete 4 pc set for $1 at an estate sale! A couple of years ago my daughter was dating a guy whose Mom worked for Tupperware. He used to bring us all kinds of items-love their spatulas!

I also have an old metal saltine container. It's looking pretty used now but have used it for years and it does a good job, a paint job might be in order.

Jasdip, I have that metal one too. I used to collect anniversary tins. I even have a bottle of Heinz ketchup with the ketchup in it (it's turning a lovely shade of... I dunno... black/red?) and a tin of coffee that still has the coffee in it. I think it's Maxwell House? They're in a box somewhere in the basement.

I love tins. They're in abundance at yard sales.

I think I need Tupperware b/c saltines get soggy really fast in my house. I use a Tupperware modular but its not meant for crackers and it does keep them fresh much longer. I guess I could put in the oven to crisp them up but too lazy for that
