Comments (8)Your sink link did not work for me. You mentioned not wanting to pick the sink color before the backsplash, but I don't think backsplash is nearly as important as countertop and cabinets for picking the color of the sink. It's hard to know from your brief description what color would be best. With a white quartz, a lot of people don't like white-on-white, but other people do. Some like the contrast of anthracite. I've seen pics of anthracite sinks with marble or quartzite or white quartz, and it looks fabulous. I think that is what I am going to get. But for you, it is almost impossible to advise you with the little info you've provided. Any photos? I do not agree with Browneyes776 about stains on Silgranit! I am about to start on my third kitchen, and my last one had a Silgranit sink. That thing was the most stain-proof sink I have ever had in my entire life. My family abused it terribly (teenaged boys) and it just never showed a thing. My gosh, it's made from mostly granite, and is as durable. I've been a lurker on this forum for a while, and know there are many threads here that talk about how stain-proof Silgranit is, if you want to do a search. Especially when compared to stainless steel (two kitchens ago) which gets water marks all over the place, and even rust marks if you leave a metal spatula sitting in it. You can contact Blanco's customer service, and they will mail to you sample color chips of the colors you are interested in. It's best to see the colors in your home, than try to decide from online pics....See MoreSilgranit sink color for Alaska White granite?
Comments (16)Thanks for all the help, suggestions, and things to think about. And pictures! It sounds like I could probably do any of the colors and they would work. I guess I do need to think about wanting the sink to stand out or not. Probably not. Why draw attention to the dirty dishes sitting in it?! (= The truffle does look like a perfect match, and your CC and biscotti is beautiful. I'll guess I'll have to wait until I can see more items together, or until my designer can because some decisions will have to be made without me. But not without my input! The metallic gray might be great, or maybe not given my floor will be silver. The brown I'm afraid may be too dark. I'm not really doing much black so probably not that even though I love black. I guess I'm back to the lighter choices. And was I not thinking darker when I started this thread? Now you understand why I'm driving my poor designer crazy. :)...See MoreFeedback on White Blanco Diamond Silgranit Sink
Comments (9)Mine isn't white, but "biscuit," is that close enough? Our water is naturally hard, so we have a whole house softener. I was originally thinking of one of the darker Silgranit colors, but was told that locals who have dark sinks live to regret it. I have seen what look like stains in the sink, but they turn out to be quite superficial and come off easily. I use Barkeeper's Friend when I see a dark mark and I spray with dilute vinegar once in a while. It's only been a year, but it looks pristine....See Morenumbersjunkie
