Happy Days are here again

(I know I have extolled the virtues of this helianthus "Happy Days" in previous years so sorry for the repeat).

I have had this one plant in our front garden for the past 3 seasons.

It is excellent.

- incredibly floriferous for a good 4 weeks.

- not a spec of mildew or anything similar on the foliage (regardless of the weather or location)

- water conserving

- extra sturdy

(Right now it is in too tight quarters and I do plan to move it to a more prominent location this Fall after it has finished flowering).

Here it is as of last week:

Each year I think I trim it back some in late June or early July to limit its height but even so this plant right now is 4 feet tall and over 3 feet in width at the top.

If you have space this Helianthus or just as nice "Sunshine Daydream" (pictures to come later this week) are highly recommended (by me ;))
