dried out garlic cloves

I have been taking dried out garlic cloves and running them through a coffee grinder for garlic powder, which I just did for a small batch that was the last remnant of 2015 bulbs. Not completely dried out for sure; I ended up with some garlic paste so it is back to the drying platters for them. I have not been using any oven or drier heat for this; so it is back to waiting. That is what I had to do last year, running the drying garlic through the coffee mill a couple of times to finally get it dry enough to powder.

I found a couple of completely plump cloves in the mix, which very likely would have grown had I planted them. That was a bit of a surprise, because of the age and that I have tentatively identified this type as a rocambole. Interesting stuff; just two on separate bulbs all of whose other cloves had dried out completely.
