Would Love to Know About Everyone's New Orders
Comments (41)Ingrid, I have waited to respond to this post until my roses arrived. I ordered from Vintage and from Roses Unlimited. Both orders were shipped on Monday. RU arrived on Tues and Vintage (all the way from CA arrived today-Tuesday!) I ordered first from Vintage and received: 1. Gruss An Coburg 2. Lemon Spice 3. Cels Multiflora 4. Eminence Here is a pic of the little bands: By the time I decided, they had sold out of Iobelle and Grace Darling that I really wanted. I emailed Pat at RU to ask to be put on the waiting list for Sutter's Gold and she had ONE in stock. Since I was already ordering, I got: 1. Sutter's Gold 2. Grace Darling 3. Iobelle 4. Baronne Edmond de Rothschild Here is a picture of the gallon plants: Both Iobelle and Cels Multiflora came with blooms. I love them. Here is Iobelle: And a picture of Cels Multiflora I think she looks almost like a smaller version of SdlM. I am very excited. They'll go in the ground next week. Comments (18)Daisy, I think the ottoman is too high even for that. Cat, yes it is walnut. I think it looks pretty good with the Stickley oak pieces we have in the room. It's in close proximity to the Stickley TV stand and while I'm not a matchy-matchy type, I was relieved to see that these two pieces seem to "play nicely" together. I had a wood end table that for me, was the "too much stained wood" item in the room, so I'm in the process of painting it a dark green....See MoreWould you put an area rug or coffee table in this room?
Comments (7)Honestly, I think part of the issue is the âÂÂline-em-upâ way the seating is arranged. It leaves a huge blank space in the middle of the room. Would you consider putting the loveseat in front of the window, and the couch at a right angle to it? I realize that they canâÂÂt be abutting one another, because of the reclining. But I think you can move the couch down toward the loveseat a bit. That is also why you donâÂÂt want a coffee table. I know from personal experience that it is always in the way with a couch with recliners. I would move the black cabinet to the wall space to the right of the curtains where the chair is now, if it will fit. Then rehang the two pictures centered between the drapery and the corner of the wall, not between the drapery and the light switch. A lamp on there would be nice. I would find a larger round table to sit in the corner between the two reclining seating pieces. Another lamp on there. The small chair could go to the left of the tv, with a small table beside it, near the stairs, another lamp there. If the chair goes near the tv, then I would use the floor lamp in the corner nearest the dining room, to the right of the couch, and another small table there. I think once you move things around and have the furniture out into the space a bit more, you will find you donâÂÂt need anything there, and will leave the open space for traffic and kids....See MoreWhat style of light fixture would you hang over the coffee table?
Comments (62)@Jodie Teeters, @Gargamel, @User Thanks! My kid helped me install it today. When he was a toddler we had huge, ott birthday parties with tons of balloons. He has outgrown those now, thank God, but I told him we can still be reminded of those days because it looks like a big bundle of balloons floating in the air. Next up is clearing everything off the piano and adding a tall lamp....See More- 11 years ago
