New Redwood Deck, Deciding on a Stain

Is Sikkens SRD Cetol, #89 (Redwood), still a good stain to use today? I have read good things about it in the forums. We used Deck Heart grade redwood for our newly built deck. I read that a semi-transparent stain should be used to help preserve the original nice, redwood color. However, I don't want a stain that will be too dark or too off the original color , and at the same time, I don't want the wood to go grey, so I plan to maintain it with the correct stain for what I want.

Also, on the Home Depot web site, both SRD and SRD RE are available. Which one is appropriate? (I'm guessing the RE)

I am in San Francisco, and it gets foggy in the summer, and high temperatures are generally very moderate where I live.

Any suggestions would be greatly appeciated. Thanks.
