Neptune Tubs? Neptune Wind?
Comments (47)I like my deck mounted filler as it is one less thing to clean around on the floor compared to a free standing one. l notice my tub looks short in the photo. Just weird perspective and taken with a tablet. The tub is fitting in a standard 60 inch space although if you had more, the curved end could just be away from the wall. It is a tall tub as it has optional air and water jets, so I do like the ability to hang onto something. I am still pretty nimble and fit for my age, but we plan to be here for an unknown number of years. We used thin quartz as the tub surround and tiled the floor so that everything is quite waterproof and maintenance free. It doesn't show real well in the photos as the colors are a bit off. Would love to see a photo when yours is finished. You can also get a heated back on this tub and I do like it....See MoreHelp finding 60' alcove tub with long/wide basin!!
Comments (34)writersblock I don't really know either. That's why I contacted the manufacturer. Their customer service people don't seem to know the answer. Most manufacturers put this information on the technical drawings, but not Maax. On the drawings for both tubs, the overflow center is listed at 17.5 but it's measuring from the base of the leveling feet, not the interior of the tub. And the center of the drain still has an inch or so below it (so the water would be at most 16.5 deep). When I asked the salesperson to clarify, they said the water depth on the Maax Pose tub was "about 20 inches" which has to be wrong. Seeking clarification, I contacted Maax directly. So far they have told me three different answers: 17.5" less than 12" about 14.5" I guess the 14.5 is the correct answer, as that sounds about right. I want a tub where the water is at least 17.5 inches deep so the Maax tub won't work. I'm now leaning towards the Lacey or Sydney from Hydro Systems....See MoreCan You Help Me Find a Cast Iron 30x60x15+ Tub?
Comments (16)enduring, we ordered the 30" Bellwether today. I was really hoping he'd change his mind and decide on the 32". We would have had a lot more options. The 32" I saw today had a really bad case of the "dimples" :o The entire outside surface was very dimply. I'm hoping mine won't be as bad. Is yours like that? Ohhh, turn the overflow upside down! Thanks! My plumber will do anything I ask (at least he has so far) :) roadrunnerrita, I considered having his tub refinished but learned that that has it's own issues. As grungy as he gets, I'd be concerned about the finish getting scratched and what I could and couldn't use to clean it with. He said he didn't want a "plastic tub". I like my acrylic air tub but I can't use abrasive cleaners (like Scrubbing Bubbles) and it can scratch pretty easy....See MoreHelp me find a replacement washer for under $1000
Comments (70)K Sissy, See this discussion for an example of a residue-and-mold-infested toploader ... and I've seen worse. Communal Washer/Dryer Situation Liquid chlorine bleach (LCB) is what's needed to avoid mold. Bleach in detergent is oxygen bleach. Note that some chlorine bleach products nowadays whiten but are not qualified to sanitize (read the label carefully). Laundromat (laundry mat is not the correct term) and home-owned washers are typically far from sanitary. Fecal matter and germs are much more common than not in home machines ... public laundromat machines are surely worse considering the anything-and-everything that gets run through them. It's not unheard that college students may defecate and/or urinate in dorm and apartment washers as a prank on the next unsuspecting user....See MoreDanielle P
