I'd wait until you have completed the kitchen and have moved out all the boxes, etc. to decide. When the kitchen is clean and decluttered, you can make a more educated choice. I think they look good, but aren't necessary.

@ levy, It is math hon. Second fixture( Home Depot ) Lets assume the attachment uses 5" , the fixture itself is 12 inches, and there are three 12 inch stems and you use one. Add it up. That's 29 inches. Now add the 36 to the counter, and the 36 that IS the counter height. ....101" Ten more inches than you HAVE, floor to ceiling, unless you use no stem at all.. So I would get thee to a Home Depot, and see in person if you are determined to have three, and make sure of total and how you will HANG it. I think a larger black tone lantern would look great. You have only a single light box.. I wouldn't do three. I would personally do one or two decent size lanterns left and right. The size and width of the island would need to be known if you are hanging multiples. Many different lanterns out there in black. I favor the Darlana by Visual Comforts. It's very well made and has more straight lines than the mock up above. The iron on the one above across the top each piece is slightly rounded. This is Darlana however obviously showing in the gold tone. It's available in dark, gold and silver tone. With a lantern the ceilings will need to be fairly high.

I cant believe you just commented on this chris. I was actually searching for similar photos/threads last night and found one threat that was several years old where you had posted that photo and I liked the look of your pendants but didnt know how low they were hanging. I was going to comment and ask how long they were but it was a long thread, a few years old, and you only posted once in the middle of it so I figured it was a waste of time. I am concerned that 26" is too low since they will be in my sightline but thanks very much for jumping in!
