Hoya ID question

I found this listing on eBay but no ID, I'm just wondering if anyone could figure out the ID of it.

I saw this as well. I saw just a regular carnosa, but I could be wrong. The light green growth is kind of throwing me for a loop!

I don't get why folks buy no ID plants, much less on EBay. Doubt you''ll get a strong ID w/out blooms. It's hard to say.

Looks like Carnosa to me, can be lighter or darker green, likely dependent on conditions.

That is one of the prettiest Krimson princess I've seen. The second one looks like Krimson queen. You can put the cutting in some loose,chunky type of soil...don't over water while its trying to put out roots, keep the soil damp not wet. Oh, and if you have the cutting in a cold room, give it some bottom heat if possible. Nice hoyas!

I have a crappy little KQ that had several new vines of plain white leaves, but no green new growth. Some people suggest removing them to help the plant put it's energy into growing (as the white ones don't produce chlorophyll so don't really do anything but look pretty) I liked the white leaves so I left them on. I realised a few months back that the plant hadn't grown for ages and generally looked poor. I checked it's roots (all good) so, feeling like a murderer, I removed almost all the white leaves (I left one, I couldn't help it :D) Wouldn't you know, it has suddenly started growing again from all the points I chopped off, and all strong normal KQ leaves. So, in my totally just made up scientific theory, if the plant is big and healthy, a few white leaves are fine. If the plant is small and struggling, remove them and cross your fingers... lol.

So the cutting didn't actually do anything for weeks, and then I went out of town for a week and came back to these roots. The picture is a bit blurry but you can see the roots at the top (the two leaves are still at the top, it just got cut off in the picture). Should I cut the stem off below the roots and pot it, or pot it with the stem intact? It still has what looks like a root hair at the very bottom.

Your S. viminale is looking great. That's a lot of buds! Your plant is the hanging variety... the vining variety would climb up the chain link fence. That's too bad about the Aloe mites! I wonder if some Aloes are less susceptible than others. Some of my Aloes have been hit by the Aloe aphid, but I noticed it's really just the Aloes that are getting too much shade. The friend who shared the Hoya seeds usually gets quite a few pods on his Hoyas. He doesn't pollinate the flowers... they are naturally pollinated. Most of the pods are on his Hoya australis which regularly volunteers in his garden. I think part of the reason that he ends up with so many pods is because he has the largest outdoor collection of Hoyas that I've personally seen. Since there are so many Hoyas blooming at the same time I wonder how likely it is that the Hoya seedlings are hybrids. Have you ever tried hand-pollinating a Hoya? A while back I figured out how to remove the pollen packets, but I didn't know where to put them. On [this page[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/can-i-hand-pollinate-hoyas-dsvw-vd~1976896) there's a photo which shows where the pollen is supposed to go. If you have any Hoyas in bloom you could bring a couple flowers over and we can practice on them.

I think it's ok to buy noID plants, but just realize you'll probably never know what it is. Even when they flower, it can be difficult to pin them down. There's something about it that draws me away from carnosa.

So you think it might be a carnosa? I kind of thought that it might be a pubicalyx or australis but not 100% sure since there are probably lots of hoyas with light green leaves.

Denise, it almost looks like the cuttings of Verticillata you sent me, at least leaf wise. It looks like a nice plant you got there, Lisa. I hope some one zero's in on it for you.
