Omega painted kitchen cabinets-recent experience?

Anyone had any recent experience with painted omega cabinetry? KD says they have never had any issues with them, but the 2009-2011 gardenweb timeframe seems to show some people may have had chipping paint and other quality control issues. Has anyone ordered PAINTED omega cabinets in 2014, 2015 or this year who can share their experience with this brand?

I'd also love to know. A kitchen designer we spoke to said the same thing but it's not hard to find horror stories...

Waiving hands above head. Me! Me!! My Omega/Dynasty cabinets were installed just about one year ago in our laundry room. They are solid wood bases with wood frames (not frame less) with a shaker-type door. Door styles and rails are solid wood and the recessed flat panel is veneer over something other than plywood. I don't recall the material. When the cabinets arrived one door was very slightly warped. They replaced it with no questions asked. The finish is very nice and looks like it will hold up for a long time. This room gets a lot of use as it is our side entrance, our drop zone and our pantry and I see virtually no wear after one year. I would order again. However, nothing beats going to see the cabinets in person and ordering a sample door and subjecting it to abuse.

I also have omega/dynasty cabinets in 3 bathrooms. These are walnut, solid wood reversed flat panel shaker-type doors. I would say your KD is going to be key to your satisfaction. We (KD and I) identified several doors and drawer fronts of the walnut that we felt needed replacement from an aesthetic perspective. All were replaced no questions and no charge. My experience with Omega/Dynasty was very positive.

If you don't get recent feedback on Oxford, I'd highly recommend Jason at Dutchwood, also in PA, especially if you are detail-oriented. I just finalized my cabinet order with them. Did most of the planning and tweaking with Lorna, the kitchen designer, and then finished up last clearance details with Jason. They were great to work with at a distance (I live 1 hr 45 mins away)- 1 initial visit to their showroom to check them out, 2 planning visits and everything else by email (LOTS of emails since I had lots of customization). Buehl this was a thread on Houzz not on GW. I have found a smattering of comments about Medallion and Holiday finish problems as well but the Dynasty thread had a couple of people comment about finish. How can this happen? Wouldn't the finish process in these big manufacturers be automized for consistency. I understand stuff damaged during shipping but how can the finish have a few that fail?

We have Dynasty cabinets by Omega, painted white (oyster, with a caramel glaze, very subtle). They are not shaker style, but they are very well made, and we are extremely happy with them. Also, all dealings with the company (through our KD) were smooth and fast, and all of the cabinets were delivered on time and in excellent condition (no returns). They were packed well, and all finishes were perfect. We did add a few trim pieces, in addition to adding a banquette, and all pieces, although ordered later, arrived pretty quickly, and the finishes were consistent with the main cabinet order. We also have an alder island from Dynasty, and it is beautiful. From our experience this past summer, I would recommend Dynasty. I have no experience with Kemper. Good luck to you!

Recent experience with Tuscan Hills/Ultimo cabinets?

Apologies for the delayed follow-up — we are very happy with our cabinets. Attached are a few pictures. The kitchen is the “wings” color and the bar is the “peppercorn” color. We think the colors paired well with our counter tops (Bedrosians Encore in Calacatta Ravena) and are planning on using something like Bedrosians Cloe for the backsplashes. The cabinets are really nicely made. Our installer remarked at the quality, and they are on par with custom, handmade cabinets we used in another house. We did have a few minor issues — two trim pieces arrived in the wrong color — but Tuscan Hills customer service was awesome in dealing with the issue. We considered a number of cabinet companies, and am glad we chose Tuscan Hills. Highly recommended. Hope this helps!
