I went with the Profile double-oven gas: here are my reasons. I like the smaller-size top oven for daily use, and the lower oven will only be used on occasion, so I'm ok with its location. (There's no room for a wall oven in my tiny kitchen -- and I have no plans to tear out cabinets and rearrange.) I'm a good cook, and I honed my skills on low-end domestic ranges because that's what was available: I don't need a commercial range to cook what I like, and I'm too busy with other aspects of my life to change my cooking style now. I also prefer not to deal with "pro" level BTUS and the ventilation complications they might add. I also am not willing to give up self-cleaning ovens -- which puts many pro-style ranges out of contention. I liked the slide-in setup and the angled control-knob location on the Profile, so that, and the price advantage, led me to choose it over the Cafe. Re: price, I bought mine from a local dealer, and I got the price down a bit by asking them to meet the ajmadison.com price. They didn't quite get there, but I was willing to pay a little extra for local sales/delivery/service reliability. Everyone's situation is a little different, but I found that the Profile slide-in fits best with my kitchen and the way I use it.

We are re-doing our new home and simply don't have room for a double wall oven. I know I want induction - have it currently in another home and want to stay with it. I think I'm coming to the acceptance that rather than a range, a cooktop with single oven below is preferable (one reason is that there are so few slide-in induction ranges). I like the features of the GE Cafe and the Electrolux cooktops & ovens. I'd appreciate comments about either brand.

I have Bosch double wall ovens, not French door but side swing. I’ve been happy with them. Have had them for a little over a year - through the holiday season - where I both baked and roasted quite a bit, without any issues (although to be honest I am a novice when it comes to convection mode). I have a counter depth French door refrigerator but not a cafe or Bosch (the Bosch was not yet on the market when I made my purchase or I would have strongly considered it). It’s been great. My old refrigerator is in the garage and I have utilized it for really large gatherings but most of the time the counter depth refrigerator is ample for my needs.

I make pizzas so I need wall ovens that can go up to 550F - but I'm looking for a combo wall oven (top micro/speed; bottom true convection) and this is what I've got: Thermador Masterpiece or Pro Bosch 800 series (Benchmark only 450) Monogram (no combo oven, would have to stack) GE Profile with Advantium top oven KitchenAid (what I currently own and love but I'm shopping for a new build kitchen) Not considering Miele or Wolf but I can't find my notes. I think they were out due to lower oven temp. The rest of the kitchen will be a Bluestar rangetop (upgrade from our current Wolf range) and SubZero 48" SxS (same as what we have now) and Bosch dishwasher (we love ours, so quiet in open floor plan).
