New ceiling fan selection problem

My new house is wired for 4 ceiling fan/lights, each with two wall switches. When I visited my daughter a few months ago, she had a couple of Harbor Breeze DC-motor fans installed, which I liked a lot, so I bought one for my house. I discovered that it is not wired for separate wall switches, so I wired it up using one of the switches and mounted the included remote on the wall (ugly!). However, it works. Typically, I turn it off using the switch and when I turn it back on, it resumes the settings of the previous use and I never need the remote.

I now want to get another fan (for another room). When I went back to Lowes (I believe Harbor Breeze is their brand), the salesman said the Platinum line cannot be wired the way I want, and that I should look for a fan with pull chains.

Perhaps I should pick a different brand (and store) but I need to know what I am looking for and the local electrical supply house didn't know any more than the Lowes salesman. Any suggestions?
