Hi Carol. So far my 6 plants look good. I bought two organic tomato plants at Whole Foods where I purchased some last year and they did ok. I also bought one flat of 4 Sunsugar plants at Russell's and those look ok at this point too. We really do have to be careful with the tomato plants this year. There's been discussion on the Organic Forum about the late blight that hit the Northeast last year. Evidently if you have infected plants the disease spores can travel in the wind for miles. So careful atttention to leaf spots and pulling the plants if you think they have blight is very important this year. I think it's a great idea to report foliar problems on plants and figure out where they are being purchased.

Sunshine...I feel your pain...hate is an OK word to use....it's emotional when you try so hard and your efforts are thwarted. I've never used a fungicide but will research it also. My problem is that it is very labor intensive to apply (especially with 76 plants) and every time I attempt to spray we get a downpour. Perhaps less plants and a concerted effort to find a good organic fungicide and apply it from the get-go will delay the inevitable...there's always next year. Hang in there, you're not alone. Hi, i would like to know if my cherry tomato plants have some sort of fungal disease or if its something else. Heres a pic of two cherry tomato plants with some gray sploches on the leaves. I noticed there is a dot in the middle of the circles which is specific to septoria. Anyone have any advice on how to treat this. Id appreciate the info.
