They still look pretty good. I know the feeling of trying to capture the colors or just the real life dynamics of the grouping I am viewing. I always end up saying "they were bigger then this pic makes them look" or "the color was brighter-or pinker-or more eyed, etc." Sometimes, maybe it was meant to be just for us when we look at our gardens!!!

Yes, pictures just don't give the dimensional experience of the scapes. However, the opposite is also true. Some blooms look better in pictures than in reality; it's just something about the blending of colors in some cultivars. Also, defects such as upfacing blooms, weak stems, and smallish blooms can be disguised in photography.
