Best Mid-range Kitchen faucet?

We're in the middle of a kitchen remodel and need a kitchen faucet. It'll be put in our 32-inch wide, 10-inch deep stainless steel double kitchen sink left over from before. I went faucet shopping and couldn't tell one type from another, there were so many choices. Is there a faucet that's generally agreed upon among GWers as the best mid-range one to buy? I adore the look of Rohl's Country faucets but the price is way outside our budget. A beautiful faucet is nice (ok, really really nice) but I'm trying to go for function and durability over looks. We want the faucet spray to be able to pull out to get at all sink corners, and with 6 kiddos who I want to eventually teach to do the dishes, simple and durable design is best.

i don't know - maybe check Consumer Reports for meaningful reliability data? I think there are no guarantees past the warranty date, and faucets DO sometimes just go bad before their time, so my solution is not to spend extravagantly on them unless I'm getting a real upgrade in function or reliability. Obviously, since there are plenty of regulars on the Kitchen forum who spend well north of $200 on kitchen faucets, there are other points of view as well! The 3 I mentioned are all relatively sleek and simple, with functional pull-down sprayheads. The Delta Trinsic also comes in a pull-out style.

Also, if you're a fan of pull-out sprayheads, the Grohe Ladylux comes in that style (also in the pull-down style) and is pretty popular.

Just went through this. Confusing number of faucets, for sure. I think Moen Arbor, Delta Trinsic, Kohler Essence are all pretty popular in the $200-300 range.

I come on here about 1to3 times a week and rarely post anything. When I do it is in response to what I know about which at this point is gas stoves because I spent a year researching them. I usually mention NXR's because very few people know about them, in fact less than a year ago I had never heard of one either but fortunately saw a few owners of NXR's on this website that got me interested in them. There are no NXR showrooms near me either, there are several along the East Coast and several on the West coast. My wife & I were going to Florida to visit friends and I thought I would check to see if there was a place to see, touch, feel, slam and bang an NXR stove along the way. We found a place in Tampa Florida, was about a 2 hour detour for us but decided to stop by and check it out, glad we did because we were sold as soon as we saw it. The place we bought it from said they have sold quite a few over the years and have never had one come back. He then opened the oven door and stood on it with his full weight, probably about 190-200# just show how well built the stove was. We bought one from them because they had as good a price as any we had found anywhere ($1799.00). I can basically guarantee the NXR is better than the 3 you listed but I fully understand not wanting to buy something sight unseen, we didn't.

Hello, I'll chime in on the Miele dishwasher...of the Futura series (newest), the Dimension seems to be the best bang for buck with features in terms of cost. The Classic is the entry level nd the Diamond I believe is the most expensive. We have two, a Dimension as our primary and a Classic for overflow. Love the both! Good luck! "Amish Made" does NOT necessarily mean higher quality. To say that Amish made cabinets are higher quality is a very wide sweeping statement to make. Every cabinetmaker is different. I've seen beautiful work by "the Amish" and I've seen "assembled" parts that were not high quality at all...yet were labeled Amish Made because that's who assembled them. Why does this Amish mystique continue? I saw an episode on TV with Vanilla Ica (he had an Amish remodeling show)....and the kitchen they re-did looked mucky and awful. I wouldn't put the cabinets in my shed. Anyway, my point is....just because something is labeled "Amish" doesn't mean it's higher quality. Check them out....if you can tour the shop and see them being made (not just assembled), then maybe you have legit good cabinetmaker. Mid range is Cafe, Kitchenaid, Bosch, Fisher Paykel. You're talking low end import junk crapola. Even a decent 30” mid range is more than your budget.

We are remodeling our kitchen in October and have selected the Delta Essa Single Handle Pull down with magnetic docking in the Arctic Stainless. It hits all of our basic requirements and is in our target price at just under two hundred dollars.

Does faucet quality vary depending on where it's purchased? It's selling for $168 from wayfair and $230 on FaucetDirect.com.

My mistake - the expensive one is stainless steel whereas all the others are chrome. May I ask where you got your stainless steel faucet, ummom?

I love the look of the Rohl Country faucets but I did not have the budget for that. I went with Moen Weatherly/ Walden in chrome w/out the deck plate. I feel like it similar in style to the country faucets w/ one handed convenience. I've had it for a year now and I've been pleased with it.

Delta has a list of preferred and authorized online retailers. http://www.deltafaucet.com/where-to-buy/authorized-retailers.html From my understanding the quality will be the same from any of them. Good news, Wayfair is on their list! Also, concerning the price, the prep kitchen faucet is $168, the full sized kitchen faucet is $192 so that may be the reason for the difference.

We prefer Delta. Easy to find parts and easy to repair should anything go wrong.

We went with Moen (can't remember the model) for our two sinks. We bought two, and one was immediately defective, with two different flaws! Since I had already installed the first one, I brought the bad one back under warranty and got another. So far, so good after about two years of use. The pull-down easily reaches all parts of our big 43" main sink.
