I think I used too much fertilizer..

So I container garden, which you all know, means that you have to use the occasional fertilizer.

I was using some Gro Power Plus fertilizer, 4-12-8 I think was the mix.. And within days my new leaves(new growth) started shriveling and falling off along with new flowers. I didn't use the fertilizer on all my peppers so it HAS to be the fertilizer because the ones I didn't use it on, aren't exhibiting these symptoms. In these pics you can see that the stems come to little nubs because all the leaves turned brown and fell off. Some of the older leaves went through some shriveling and what looks like sun burn, those eventually fell off.

There a way to correct this other than just continue to water regularly to flush out the bad fertilizer?

Other than the new growth being affected, the plants look generally healthy.
