Built ins for the master bedroom.

We are downsizing! Altogether a good thing but I will need to make some rooms do double duty. I will be losing my office which also served as a sitting room and library.

I think the master will be a good spot to fill in the gap. I will need some space to house the laptop and printer. I would also love some book cases for books and various tchotchkes.

The wall across from the bed is the obvious spot. It is 14' long less the 3 feet I need to allow for the door to swing in. I also need to hang my flatscreen on that wall.

I've come in with 2 options.

Option one I use the total remaining 11 feet and make a separate desk at the end. This does center the tv on the wall which centers it on the bed.

The second option is to just do a built in with space for the laptop in the cabinet. No knee space for a desk. It's not symmetrical but that doesn't really bother me.
