Need help choosing piatra grey or concrete
Comments (10)It's such a personal preference. The two are so different so try to understand why you are drawn to each. You need to ask yourself a few questions, as noted above. Do you tend to prefer strong color contrasts with the cabinetry or something more subtle and quiet? Do you prefer to see some movement? Would it bother you to be looking into something very dark or patterned when you are working? What overall effect are you looking for in your kitchen? When you gather pictures of kitchens you like, do you find a pattern to the types of counter tops among them?...See MoreNeed help with an all beige house - want to go gray
Comments (3)I posted one of my favorite colors that go with both grey or tans... Benjamin Moore MegaGriege. If it is used in a room with a lot of tans, it looks more beige (but without the yellow tones.) In a room with blue tones/grays, it looks more gray. Great color if you have tan tile and want to go grayer, but can't do a true gray. Search Houzz for Benjamin moore megagreige for photos. You will see how the color changes depending on surroundings....See MoreNeed Help Choosing the best neutral gray paint color
Comments (10)There really is no substitution for testing the colors in your space and different light through the day. For a suppposedly neutral color, greys can be tricky. Fact of the matetr is that a greyy can be any color plus black or some canceling tones. Revere Pewter goes violet on me and Edgecomb grey a bit green in some rooms. I wound up going to Sherwin Williams and trying their colors. Agreeable Grey was the right tone for my living areas, but I am doing them at 150% to get a little deeper color. I am using Anew Grey in my entry and stairwell -- that hasn't been done yet. . More important to your question about going with cool and warm colors -- the Agreeable Grey in my FR had to work with red brick, cherry hutch and dark wood floors as well as blue, green and white in the upoho;stery, rug and kitchen cabinets and counters. Anything that tended green made the red brick fireplace more intense and anything too warm made it pinker/orangier. Agreeable Grey at 100% was too light -- was too close to my grout and looked chalky, so we just added more color and went to 150%. SInce it is a light color to begin with, it is still light, just richer. The result was amazing -- my red brick calmed down. No more orangey, purpley/brown red. And it is so soft and neutral with the blues,, green and white. We did the ceiling at a reduced value. It was the first time I had used SW paints and as much as I liked BM, I was just as pleased with this job (DIY)....See MoreNeed help choosing gray paint
Comments (80)Busy day tomorrow, so I thought I would offer some ideas for your bathroom wall colors. Impossible to tell much from these photos but I don’t like any of those grays for your bathroom. So I picked out two whites I suggest you get samples for. Trying to make all those gray tones in your level 4 V Stone (4 being most variable colorations) is darn near impossible. So here is mock up (very bad coloring on my iPhone but two colors. SW Extra White and Behr Ultra Extra White could work well and be nice from and with bedroom color too. See what you think....See MoreRelated Professionals
