What you have is Kwanso. Google it with "Kwanso daylily" for information. I have some and it is an attractive bloom but is invasive. Mike

Your pretty good - that's exactly what it is. I found the invoices from last year! I loved it tons of flowers and the clump got huge!

The characteristics of that daylily could have occurred as a result of many different crosses. There are very subtle differences among many cultivars these days, making it really hard to identify an unknown. If you like, you can label it for your own purposes as 'Dorothy French lookalike' but you should not trade it or pass it on to other gardeners as 'Dorothy French'. Every daylily collector has a few expensive unknowns in their garden. Accidents happen and the tags get lost, but the flowers are still just as beautiful :)

I'm glad you found us too! Very pretty daylily, but I can't help with the ID, have no idea. The longer you stick around and look at all the pictures, the more we'll fuel your addiction, and if you aren't addicted to daylilies yet, you will be. LOL! This place was the start of my daylily addiction (the hosta forum fueled my other addiction). It's always, ooh, I want that one, oh, and that one, and that one...and before you know it, you have an impossibly long list of wants that you know you can't have. Then....there's the crossing. Sigh. It's too easy that way to make more lilies, and that itself becomes another addiction. Anyway, welcome! Karen
