What panel ready side by side actually covers the entire front?
Comments (2)I don't have an answer to your specific question but CD fridges are not really CD - the door protrudes beyond the counter so it really won't look like a cabinet style built-in....See MoreWindow Treatments for Glass Front Doors (and French Doors!)
Comments (2)Its kind of odd to have so many doors for the front. This seems like a more suitable design for the back of the house. I would go with the plantation shutters ideas. I would also paint the front door a different color so it's clear which door it is....See MoreFixed glass panel on 48" side and shower door on 36" side???
Comments (15)No way would I attempt to install the glass, but my GC will have to install it. They will measure once the tiling is finished. I think I can use a 48" fixed panel with a brace/support, and not even have a door on the short side. The water would hit the glass. Is that a bad thing? Or do something like this with a bifold door in the front and a fixed panel on the short side. Onyx base has a dual threshold on two sides. Threshold is about 2"-2.5" wide so there should be plenty of room for the glass and frame. This glass enclosure is 33.25" x 46". There will be about a 1 7/8" gas between the folding door and the 90° back fixed panel. I guess this is semi frameless....See MoreKeyhole Glass Panel by Front Door
Comments (14)NO to a double cylinder deadbolt! In case of emergency, anyone inside needs to be able to leave the house without delay. Of course, as resident, you will know that the door can't be opened without the key but guests or babysitters won't be expecting that. In a real emergency, some people will panic and will struggle with turning a thumb latch. Plus, the firefighters or EMTs aren't going to be happy when they can't figure out how to open that door. In my area, a double cylinder deadbolt will be an automatic fail before the rental inspector even walks in the door. If security is a major concern, screw a Lexan panel over the sidelight. If you want privacy add window film or spray on window frosting. I like to leave a gap somewhere in the privacy film so I can easily see out. A small stripe of unobscured glass is easy to see through from inside but someone outside must make a major and totally obvious effort to peer inside....See Morerwiegand
