We are doing an 88 inch double vanity with towers (the towers are 14" wide and 9" deep). Our two oval undermount sinks are the Kohler Verticyl 17 x 14 which is the same size as the mid-size Caxton. I think that should be enough elbow room both between the sinks and on the outer ends. By the way, has anyone used any of the Verticyl sinks, either oval, round or rectangle? They are straight-sided and flat-bottomed. I worry a bit about how well the water will drain but they are so sharp looking......

Firsthome, are you unable to fit a 21" deep vanity in your bathroom? I have a 36 x 21" vanity in my guest bath. It has an overmount sink with an opening of 15 x 12". I'm looking at the Kohler Caxton undermount in the 15 x 12" to replace it. Enduring, I handwash light items in that sink without a problem (no sweaters). I can't wash my face without splashing, so I don't know if it's my problem or the sink's problem. I saw the 17" Caxton installed in a 36" countertop and it looked nice, but I'm reluctant to give up even 2 inches of counter space.

raehelen--Thank you for the suggestion of thinking the use of the sink first! My current drop-in sink has such a large footprint but so little space inside the bowl that it never even occur to me to use it for anything other than washing hands and face :-( After reading your post, I went out to local LOWE's to study different sinks and found out they have Kohler Bancroft(17X14 insde)on clearance sale, so I grabbed 4 at a price better than the no-name sink. Now I just have to figure out the difference between Bancroft and Caxton and whether Bancroft is good:-) What do you know about them? palimpsest--I agree with you and raehelen that I would be better off with a single sink in the smaller bathroom. But this was the builder's set-up. To change to a single sink I probably has to change the base cabinet, that's too much trouble for a guest bathroom that was not used much at all. At least by using undermount sink, I will gain a few inches of counter space. .

I had the same concern. My cabinet is 21 1/2" deep. I actually purchased both the K-2210 and K-2209. I preferred the bigger sink, but I wanted to be sure that it would fit. The countertop guy assured me that the 2210 would and it did, HOWEVER . . . With the countertop installed, the countertop is now a little more than 22 1/2". He butted the front of sink as far forward as he could. There is ample room behind the sink for a faucet, but I am concerned that the lift rod for the drain won't be able to function properly. Once the tile backsplash is taken into account, it is going to be really, really tight. Have you looked at your faucet to see where the lift rod is located? Some of them pull out to the side or straight up, but my rod is angled backwards. I have a large countertop and only one sink so I am glad I went with the 2210. I used the 2209 in my hall bath which has two small countertops and it was the right choice for that bath. Is the pullout going in the under the sink cabinet? I would go with the 9" myself. I had 2 Rubbermaid pullouts about 9" wide each side by side under my sink before the remodel and they were very handy.
