Well......if you want to be "text book" correct, the 2 coils that show infinity in the secondary circuit are "defective". But that calls for an explanation. Consider that, in operation, the secondary circuit (High tension, meaning high voltage POTENTIAL) conducts voltages ranging upwards of 20,000 volts. This "High tension" is capable of jumping an air gap or passing through a break in insulation if a convenient ground is touching the insulation. On the other hand, your Ohm meter uses maybe 3 volts to check that same circuit for continuity. 3 volts simply WILL NOT jump an air gap or a broken conductor. A good analogy would be to try using an Ohm meter to "test" a spark plug. So the answer is: You may have tested a coil with a break in the secondary circuit, but the spark is strong enough to jump the break and still have enough left to fire the plug (or the spark tester). The testing of the coil secondary with an Ohm meter will not determine if that coil will fire or not. It will only determine if ANY breaks in the conductor exist.

I would check for a air leak on the door seal or the door not quite closing. This would allow humid air into the evaporator section causing the ice build up. I am real bad about going shopping and stuffing everything in the freezer quickly and it keep the door from closing airtight. You cant really see that it's not closed I have to test it. I close the refrigerator door compressing the air in the refrigerator which makes the freezer door pop open for a fraction of a second to more or less burp the air out. If the freezer door doesnt move you know the door is ajar a bit . If you have a refrigerator that good and cold (meaning you haven't been opening and closing the door a lot) and you open one of the doors all the cold air starts to fall out which is replaced by hot. When the door closes that hot air instantly contracts decreasing in volume trying to pull a small vacuum inside. There is a valve that opens allow for this air pressure change ( lot like a old type snorkel that had that ball in it ) That valve could be stuck open allowing in the humid air.

Prty Who provided you the load calcs? Do you have them in writing on the software letterhead? Are they broken out room by room? The reason I ask is I find the heating load highly suspect unless your home has poor building and insulation qualities. It should be pointed out that the cooling load for lower zone is tight on cooling BTUs for a 2 1/2 ton and you could probably take a two ton for upper floor. What size do you have now? With that said, I would go with a 2 1/2 ton for downstairs, 2 ton upstairs. I would like to know though what size you have now. However I will say a good dealer will not quibble over price and let a job like this fall by the wayside. Be nice but firm. And yes coil selection does make a difference as to performance/efficiency numbers. I prefer the Trane Perfect FIt filters over the AprilAire. Reason? They fit the furnace like a hand should fit a glove-tight and very neat. Let me know if you have any questions. IMO

I had that Kraus KPF-1602 faucet in my last kitchen. Loved it! The only reason I didn't get it for this kitchen is that its faucet location does not allow for the height. The faucet had great water pressure, loved how there were two faucets in one - the spray and the pot-filler, and loved the price. Plus the looks are a show-stopper. Not one person came to my house who didn't comment on it and admire it. I cannot believe how expensive some of these pre-rinse faucets are, and here comes Kraus, with an excellent one at a reasonable price. As to cleaning, as Rococogurl said, the coil part isn't touched very much, so doesn't really get dirty. We had it installed about 3 years, and when we moved, it looked as good as the day it was installed. Here is advice from my experience with this Kraus faucet. Don't get the matching soap dispenser, it's not very good. We tried it, and then swapped it out for a Elkay soap dispenser which was excellent and matched well. Also, the faucet for some reason at initial install was wobbly, but my plumber did something and it was rock solid after that - idk what he did, but just give a heads up to your plumber that the faucet may need a little extra to make sure it's not wobbly. I cannot tell you how much we loved this faucet. My last piece of advice is where we bought it - at expressdecor dot com (learned of it from this forum). The faucet came quickly, was packed really well, and the price was great.
