Faucet choice: Closed coil or open coil

I am considering 2 faucets for my kitchen remodel: Blanco 441332 Culina Satin Nickel and Grohe 31.380-DC0 K7 Super Steel. I'd like to understand the durability of open coil versus closed coil designs. Also, is the closed coil harder to clean than the open coil design? Everyone says the open coil is harder to clean, but to me, it looks like those little grooves on the closed coil would pick up dirt versus I could just get in there and clean the open coils. Any advice would be appreciated!
