Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?
Comments (47)I have a summer place at the Jersey SHORE, don't do the "beach" and yet in the summer I live just few short blocks from the Alantic Ocean!!! Have always lived on the bay side of a barrier island which is about 7 miles long 4-5 blocks wide, dock and water just a few yards from the house. I have summered on the island all my life, grandparents build their summer home in 1928, parents built the home I now have in 1966. Love the mountains, from here in northern Delaware I could be there in a day. Have been to the Rockies and the Smokey Mountains, just beautiful places, but driving was OH MY, being the driver I had to keep my eyes open. I guess I'm just a "flat lander". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jersey_Shore The map shows the northern part of the island. I live on the bay side just south of 70th st. My grandparents home was on 24th st island, only one street three short blocks long. Sue Here is a link that might be useful: Avalon NJ...See MoreI'm looking for the best carpet for a Beach House

Comments (24)Yes, I also warmed up to the fabric in the green. I think it looks less wintery/folky and more artsy/decor-y. I also like it better with the metal color on the chair. It's a very pretty combo! But.. this may be an unpopular opinion: but I think if you go down to a 14" the crop on the pattern is going to be too tight to look charming. You will be right up on the deer/donkeys whatever they are lol. Part of what makes the placement and pattern charming now is that you have the bunny and birds, flora and fauna on the seat. At 14" i think a fair amount of that will be cut off or cut out. If it isn't too froo-froo, maybe a cushion with a skirt would mitigate the loss of design on the seat top?...See More- 10 years ago
