Patio Umbrella Choices For Blocking Sun
Comments (6)I watched the Umbrella Video and noticed it didn't show the block of shade cast. So it probably works only at high noon in midsummer and if it's positioned right over the chair or chaise. Not very useful. And when you add in the wind issue (our good 8 ft. umbrella goes over, heavy stand and all, when a good gust comes along), it's not worth the price. I looked at those RV awnings that run down the length of the trailer and had one installed over my deck along the house wall. Pulls out 8 ft. and it's 16 ft. long and very sturdy and stable (more stable than the pullout awnings made for house decks -- go online and look up "RV awnings"). Easier to move your chair to its shade than to crank down the wheels on the umbrellamobile and drag it around. Carol...See MoreCantilever umbrellas
Comments (3)I went to the home depot to look at umbrellas and they have no outdoor furniture out anymore. Nothing!!??? It's only July, right? For goodness sake sometimes people still need seasonal items during the season it currently is!! i went online. Nothing on sale. Found one cantilever umbrella for $300 but it's backordered until mid August. Not helpful since we are on the east coast and I close the pool in September. I will wait and see if I can get a sale. I did find a nice umbrella for my outdoor table. Thanks for the suggestion....See Moreoffset patio umbrellas
Comments (4)I ended up buying an 11ft Cantilever Umbrella with solar lights. I bought it on sale for $399, it's now $499 Here is a night shot and one day shot I just took now. The cantilever swings 360 deg around over our table, couch and even the hammock. I purposely placed it so we can use the umbrella in 3 places without moving it. These are any umbrella needs a heavy base that you fill with sand, so you can't move it unless you buy a base with wheels...See Moremultiple different colors for patio umbrellas
Comments (4)Thanks for the input. I couldn’t find and photos online of something similar so was just wondering if anyone had seen it. I’d been muted tones of the same sunbrella fabric type: cast oasis, cast petal, cast tinsel. I plan on getting beige furniture and don’t plan on getting a lot of pillows and what not for accent pieces. Will just have table and chairs and a couple loungers- not couches and pillows....See Moreminiscule
