Bathtub...freestanding or not??

My DS & DIL have the option to upgrade to a freestanding tub in their master bath....new build. They have some options available to them & this is one of them. If you have one, could you give pros and/or cons of it?? Thank you!

    We put a freestanding tub in our masterbath. We love it! Our tub sits on the floor so no cleaning under it. Like nini804, it is easy to swiffer behind it to clean. We had a 6" deep bump out built in behind it. Give us lots of shelf space and brought the tub in line with the shower.
