I'm loving these colors! Can I see your 'gray' living rooms?
Comments (15)birdlover6--I just always thought neutrals were boring. Now I see them as tranquil, and as great backdrops for colorful furniture, paintings, etc. Also I moved from an old house with lots of character to a new one. I had it painted before we moved in (big mistake--I should have waited, even though it's more of a hassle) and I guess I thought bright colors would give it personality. I do like some of the colors. A small study is apple green with white molding and built-in bookcases. My bedroom is C2 silk which is a gorgeous blue grey and my bathroom is C2 Mistral a deep greyish purple, and another bedroom is aquarium, a gorgeous C2 green. I wouldn't change any of those rooms. But living room, dining room, foyer, kitchen, and maybe family room (currently yellow) could use a beautiful gray palette....See MoreI want to paint my living room/ kitchen a warm gray or taupe.
Comments (2)I agree, Ben Moore Revere Pewter : ) In my living spaces, I use flat paint, in bathrooms & kitchen I use semi gloss. If you are concerned with a 3 year old child and fingerprints, consider using an eggshell finish in your living room. It's not as shiny as semi gloss, not as matte as flat. You will be able to wipe off those prints easily....See MoreI need to make this work ...pink and gray and brown? OH MY!?
Comments (17)Beth H, that is very true - not actual terra cotta tiles, we wanted tiles the color of terra cotta. These LOOKED warmer when samples were shown and until they were put up - then we saw they had a pinkish color not the warmer orange colors we wanted. Same with the glass trim we had requested glass tiles with warm browns, peach/orange, greens etc. but nope, didn't happen. Tried some greens they are not working. Also tried Behr Clay Pot - but not quite right, maybe too red? I believe the Behr Maple Glaze (which I LOVE) may be too orange BUT Caramel Latte may work - I will look into the BM Frosted Toffee and Coastal Trail to see if they will work. I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I purchased the shower curtain(hope it works), maybe once it is up it will be easier to come up with something....See MoreHow to soften and modernise a dark brown and white living room
Comments (2)I like what hubby did with the panels on the tv wall - paint the upper trim the same color as the panels. It kind of looks like a SnoCap (remember those candies) now. Blues and greens look good with browns. You need coordinated art and a rug....See MoreRelated Professionals
