Solid well made hand shower bar and a hand shower head? Your pick?

I'll have only a hand shower in my bathtub/shower area - which brand/model you picked? Did you pick a different bar and a different shower head? What functions you do like for the shower head to have? Did you pick a bar that has the hand-shower centered? Thank you for sharing!

I used Danze nourish and matching bar. Mainly because I fell in love with a particular Danze spout/control and thought sticking with the same brand would make it easier for DH to install. No real complaints, though I want to test it sometime to see if we are getting our GPM as advertised.

The shower bar is centered over the tub spout and faucet control. The handshower outlet valve is on the left side, about 10:00 position from the spout. I strongly suggest you have a friend hop in your tub and hold the components up so you get an idea of what works best for you.

I wanted my slider bar to be rated as a grab bar. So mine (in two bathrooms) are jaclo. They are so sturdy my contractor joked that when the big earthquake hits, those bars are going to the only thing left standing. (I believe delta also makes one now, but I think I saw a not so great view on here for that one.)

One shower has a delta shower head, the other has a hansgrohe. We are happy with both. I chose polished chrome for the finish on everything metal in the bathrooms because it is supposed to be the easiet to match. It all matches nicely despite using different brands.

Yes, it is typical for most slide bars an hand showers. For hand shower, usually we make it with plastic and chrome plating. That's why it looks like metal. For slide bar, usually the tube is stainless steel or barss, but other parts-- the wall bases, the bracket and the soap dish are all plastic with chrome plating. Surely there are hand shower and slide bar made of brass and stainless steel material, but the price will be much higher as well.

We have a Hansgrohe Aktiva hand shower/slide bar. Had to take out the water restrictor because it causes the hose to burst apart from the (whatever the technical name is) round wall connector. We went through five hoses before giving up and popping the restrictor out. No problems since. I don't like doing this because: 1) we're serious about saving water in CA; our drought is on its third year and this is the fourth serious drought I've lived through since moving here. So it's EXTREMELY wasteful. We take short showers and are putting in a gray water system. 2) I frankly consider the Waterpik in the other bathroom to be a better showerhead, saves water without the overpressure problem, and costs 1/10th the price. Our last one was still going strong after 17 yrs when we left in our last apartment. It is, however, not as pretty as the Hansgrohe.

Another Hansgrohe Raindance AIR handshower here. I like it very much. The "air assist" gives the flow plenty of power for hair rinsing. It only has three settings, though--fine for me, but you may be looking for more.

Another vote for the Jaclo shower/grab bar. We've used them in 4 showers so far.
