Wind Took Out Most of My Peach Tree
Comments (15)Tom, Why *before* the dormant stage? Why not *during* the dormant stage? For the same reason we cut back the citrus after fruit production. Since we get little in the way of frost the extra growth prior to the dormant season will theoretically make the tree stronger through the dormant season and give it an extra kick after the end of the next dormant period. Tom - should I prune the branch back as noted below? Bill, don't cut it off flush at the trunk, leave 6" of the fork, exposes the tree to more disease with a flush cut and weakens the tree. The real point is that if left with that much asymmetry the tree will either topple in high winds or continue to break off due to the imbalance in weight....I see another tree to the left in your picture, no problems with it? I grew up just south of Ulmerton, my sisters went to Largo but after they built Seminole I was in their district...now I'm out here near Weedon Island. Tom...See MoreOMG! My camera took a dump! Comments (7)Your pictures look just fine on my end. I am not sure what you are seeing, but everything looks relatively normal. Of the ones you posted, I also have Gebruder Grimm, Ice Cream/Memoire, Ivory Grand, and Old Port. I like to look at Exciting because I am curious about it. I used to have Tequila Sunrise at my other house, but I found it to be a real blackspot magnet. Thanks, as always, for posting....See MoreHow do I get a picture from my computer back into my camera?
Comments (6)Hi Kudzu9, The next time you want the pictures to stay on the camera, simply copy them to the computer. The picture's were on the camera and I transfered 6 picture's from my camera to the computer. With this camera I can put a lock on them to keep from losing them by mistake. I always lock them in, but for some reason I over looked 2 pictures and forgot to put the lock on them. When I put them in the computer, 2 of them were not locked, had they been locked they would have stayed in the cameras memory card. There is nothing unique about it just because it is camera memory. I understand where you are coming from and you probably are more familiar with the digital camera than I am because when they first came out I didn't go out and purchase one right away, I was still using my old style camera. When I purchased my HP Printer I have never had a reason to use the slots for the memory card until now. For you it isn't unique because there are a lot more of them out there now. I am still learning about my camera and the software that came with it and as I learn I become more familiar with it too, it takes time but, I will eventually master how it works and if I run into a problem like I did this time, I trust that I can come here and get excellent help from you all. "Smiles" Thank you for your reply. Hi Owbist, Just happy to be of assistance Thirdfrt. Thank you and I appreciated the fact that you answered me so quickly with a great solution to my problem. It's nice to know that there are other ways to do things in case you have to go that way and I saved your information just in case I would have to go that way. When my 2 youngest grand children were just little tykes I could take well over 150 photos in an afternoon and evening. Many were garbage as I kept the camera on my knee clicking when they presented a suitable shot. I have two young grandchildren ages 8 and 3 years and I take a lot of pictures of them also but, if I don't like what I see I have the option to erase them at that moment and start over. Why save them if they aren't any good right? You must be well coordinated to be able to keep the camera on your knee, if that were me I would be dropping it and getting pictures of the ground instead of the kids. "LOL" Because of that I went out and bought a small tripod for the camera (it also takes videos)and that way I can get better shots or take a video if I want to. It helps. Thanks again for all of your help. thirdfrt!!!...See MoreI took my time, now I need to hurry up. Living room freak out…help!
Comments (41)Ask for the scotch guard treatment on all upholstered pieces. Regarding the ottoman -matching is more work than its worth instead go for an accent color and pull that color into the pillows or lap blankets, art , etc so it looks like part of the plan. Have fun with it You may even find accent chairs that go with the ottoman. Chairs & big men- the story of my life. The thing about men is the are very honest about their seating preferences -if it ain’t comfortable, they ain’t hanging around! I live in N. Alabama so forgive my southern. Look for chairs that are rated for “300 lb capacity”. They will hold up better, last longer and will be more comfortable for everyone and hopefully be really comfortable for you and baby. Regarding baby- get yourself a good upholstered recliner - even if you never thought the words Lazboy would be in your vocabulary or in your house, i slept many a night with a sick baby on my chest and the recline was my and my husbands saving grace....See MoreTiddisolo Wales UK
