How Can I Secure Plants in my Pond?

Liz Margoshes

I have a small pond, around 3 feet diameter, and about 30" deep. I put a couple of plants in very tall plastic containers I got from a florist. I weighted them down with bricks before planting so that they would stay upright in the pond, but already one has tipped over (what a mess). Any suggestions for how to plant 12" tall plants? How would I keep the pots from floating around the pond?? thanks
