Can anyone I.D. this tree?

I found this sapling growing within a couple of inches of my house. I moved it into a pot for now which I do periodically with oaks the squirrels plant for me. I probably would have mown this down next time I mow, but it is a little unusual. It is white, with semi-transparent leaves. A few of the leaves have grown fused together, and one of the branches has a few of its leaves growing upside down.
