Heater X Vent Openers conflict
Comments (10)Armandon, Since your vents are apparently the "solar" type, it is obvious that there are no thermostats. Besides replacing them with another more adjustable type as mentioned earlier, you might try using some spacer shims. It is also recommended on most models to place the unit in the refrigerator for a while to fully retract the arm. Then reinstall the opener. Also, after much trial and error, I used some spacer blocks of wood to more closely match the closed vent position to the desired opening temperature of the vent unit....See Moreembroidery on heavy towels
Comments (2)The secret is not to put the towel in the hoop but to lay it flat on the top. Hoop only the stabiliser. Place a basting box around your design using Embird or design one yourself in PE design or other digitising program. This then holds the towel in place. I use a heavy weight stabiliser that you dampen and the towel sticks to it - sorry cannot remember the name of it and the label is long gone. I use Avalon or similar on the top. Hope that helps....See MoreNo backs on base cabinets

For those of you who believe in prayers, please offer a prayer for us." well, I sure don't blame you! I get the same way when someone tries to cheat me or pull one over on me! I'll be praying for a safe remodel - and an honest gc for you. igloo - I'll take a purple one. lilac? otherwise, I'm not picky... lol! on the mw still angled forward - what's the problem with putting something behind it to level out the wall? I'd put the leveler both directions... front to back also and check that bubble. I still don't think it's safe if it's angling forward. I've gotta buy me one of those. I used to play with my dad's - don't know what happened to it tho. I'm gonna follow my gc around with it - since he's also my bf he'll probably hit me on the head with it - lol! I'm glad you got someone else in there to work on your list! get the stuff done correctly. If he doesn't seem to want to do it correctly, can him too! is that socket now in the c*abinet next to the mw? I couldn't tell by the pic. be sure to post any other things that come up and you need a 2nd PLUS opinion on. we'll give you lots of them!...See MoreHow do I solve a problem like my fireplace?
Comments (32)That's gorgeous! LOVE all the stained wood and the incredible ceiling. If the trim in our house was ever stained, it was painted long ago. I know people in the neighborhood who stripped all of their trim, but it's a huge job, and heaven knows how much of that paint is lead-based. I'm just going to live with my painted trim! I particularly envy that ceiling. I don't think we ever had beams and coffering, and some fool put popcorn on Every. Ceiling. In. The. House. The remodel got rid of it in the kitchen, dining room, and bath; I personally scrapped every inch of our bedroom. The living room and my son's room have got to be done, but I'll hire someone to do it in a few years. It's an awful, awful job....See MoreSinha
