The soil just looks damp in three picture from the time of day and the shadow from my phone, the soil is just naturally a lil wet like when from the bag (you kno what I'm taking about) but other then that there just kinda looking a little bruised and sad at the moment from the fall......I'm hoping they will recover they are my favorite color and look so bright and nice on my porch.. Since there roots were very short and the plants have petals it was a challenge to repot them and not cover the leaves when covering the roots....it was a pain in the butt and they are kinda covered in dirt at the moment...but i used a little rooting powder on the roots to see if that helps them take to the new soil I've potted them in. I hope they do well in a few days I'd be heart broken if they died cause the wind was to strong! ! :-(

Another option to consider: if you have medical insurance or medicare and a medical condition contributing to your back pain, ask your doctor for a referral to an occupational therapist for a home evaluation. We've had several over the years and recently for multiple family members and they often have great ideas and know what resources are available to make life easier, safer and healthier for you (some are better informed than others). You can also get their opinion on ideas you get from this forum and others (and we've gotten ideas from here and elsewhere they hadn't thought of, so ....). Since home ergonomics wrt to medical condition is what they are trained in, we trust their opinions on things like the depth of the sink being important versus some random person here saying it's not. It's also gone the other way -- I'll bring up a potential issue and they'll explain how to handle it by changing how we do the activity rather than spending money. They'll evaluate your actions with respect to your specific medical issues hands-on and can help you determine if changing how you use the appliance, getting an adaptive device, or buying a different appliance would be most helpful.

Regarding window treatment(s) -- Your window is an odd size and I notice from your photos that the top of your refrigerator, doorways, cabinets and top of window all are about the same level around the room. If it were me, I would break up that pattern by doing some sort of simple inside mounted shade for privacy and mount a classy valance up close to the ceiling so that the bottom of the valance comes just below the top of window frame. It will break up the line running around your room and give the illusion that your window is taller. Check out your fabric store for easy valance patterns that can be adjusted for your window size. An easy one I've seen if you don't want to sew is to purchase square napkins, then drape them over a rod, with points downward, overlapping each napkin across the rod. Make a few stitches to tack in place, and voila, you are done.

We also have low silverware holder in dishwasher. Sometimes I just put larger utensil items in with the glasses in top rack, esp. the spatulas, ladles, potato masher. I never open the dishwasher to insert a single item in lower door or in lower rack. There are days when the dishwasher is truly my enemy. (Gallon jugs of cider are also enemies of a bad back.) I usually keep all silverware in a pile on countertop or soaking in sink until I'm ready to make the bend. I only go down there when forced to do so. THEN,...I remove the utensil holder from the door of the dishwasher and plunk it on countertop to fill or empty it. One bend each way. Sometimes I just open the bin door on this gizmo and let all the silverware cascade into the drawer unsorted so I can heave it back into the dishwasher and out of my sight fast. Sometimes I just wash things myself because it's more comfortable. I can see why people mount dishwashers higher up on wall. Wish I could. ___ Not sure which thread I saw this on, sorry if redundant posting, but will definitely put adhesive sound-deadening insulation inside the new dishwasher housing in my next kitchen. Great idea.
