Zebra plant turns brown

Elsie (HK)

I bought a Haworthia Fasciata from a florist a month ago and placed the plant on the sill of an east-facing window in my office. A leaf was found withered a few days later and I watered the plant thoroughly. A bottom leaf turned brown and soft in a week and I dared not to water it afterwards. I cut the brown leaf and brought it home reckoning poor air ventilation in office and moisture left in soil might be the major cause.

I placed it on a northwest-facing bay window at home and opened the windows to let in more air. But I got another one turning brown (Image 1) 2 weeks ago and I didn't remove it this time. Temperature soared to 34degrees today afternoon and a leaf seems turning yellow (middle in Image 1).

Could anyone help identifying the problem? Thanks.
