I have some WS blooms finally
Comments (6)I am really getting into the combinations of plants. I love the first picture with the lime green, pink and blue. However, trying to make lovely combinations has driving me crazy and slowed me down with planting the WS plants this year, so now I am just grabbing and planting to get the job done. My nicotiana and flax are still in the jugs, but I'm heading out right now, honestly I am....See MoreFinally some blooms worth sharing
Comments (7)Thanks all for the feed back. I have been checking this forum daily for the past month or so and not finding many people posting pics, so I thought I would share now that I have a few blooms. Pinelands Princess is a beauty on the stem, but it doesn't last well as a cut flower. All of those fine delicate petals start drooping fast. The camera is really nothing fancy. Its an Olympus Camedia from about 8 years ago. C-740 ultra zoom. I just set it on close up, zoom in, and click the shutter. Here is a pic of the Pinelands Princess fully open. Its difficult to capture the fullness of the bloom, it is almost like a pom the way it turns into a round ball. This bloom is just under 6" and all of the blooms are out facing which is nice for a tall plant (over 6ft) Here is another of the Fire Magic almost fully open too - its my fave. I have a few more that are just starting to open - I'll post again when they do...See MoreFinally have some blooming
Comments (17)buyorsell888 - Thanks for posting your lovely blooms & sharing views of your garden settings. I especially look for your posts because we're in a similar climate where daylilies don't always perform well in our cool summers. In our gardens in western WA we have summer perennials just starting on top of spring bloomers. For example, the Asiatic lilies are still opening up in part sun & Hellebore on the north side of the house with indirect lighting are still in bloom. To give you an idea of how far behind we are: 1st daylily blooms were from 2 different fragrant yellow species. Stella just started last week after we finally hit over 70 degrees. Rose Cherub had 3 blooms last Thurs H. fulva 'Kwanzo' on Monday scapes are up & swelling, so know the blooms are coming... Corrine...See MoreFinally. Have Some Blooms!!!!

Hi Manuel, Thank you so much for the compliments on my pics.. I do like to play with the camera, but the humidity has been a problem.
