Sunday, June 5th at 11:00AM will be the CT swap at Deb's house in Woodbury, CT.

This is a very friendly and casual swap. All are welcome! Rain or Shine!

If you are a new gardener or experienced with new gardens and little or nothing to swap, come and join the fun anyway and we will send you home with plants. You can also come for the conversation and to match faces with screen names. (We will still send you home with plants) If you are a lurker we would LOVE to meet you! Kids are welcome as are dogs who you are willing to clean up after.

If you would like to bring along a dish to share we do a potluck picnic. Check the linked swap thread to get an idea of what others are bringing.

For those who have never been to one of our swaps before, they are casual and unstructured. There is no need to swap one for one unless you want to. Generally we just put the plants we have brought out on tables/ground and people pick what they want. There is lots of conversation and advice given about plants that may be unfamiliar. Some swaps are arranged ahead of time (follow the link below). This is not necessary (lots of plants come unadvertised), but if you post what you are looking for, you have a greater chance of getting it.

Please TRY to remember to label your plants. People are hesitant to take plants that can't be identified.

Pre-arranged swaps should have people's names on them. Please be mindful of the name tags. i.e. don't take something that says Dee's white lilac if you are not Dee. :-)
Here are

DIRECTIONS to Woodbury from I-84 (sorry for the convoluted way of telling you the address – internet precaution): You cannot see the house from the road, but I will have a sign. The driveway is a bit rough. Take it slow.

Heading NORTH towards Waterbury: Take Exit 14 (South Britain / Rt. 172) Turn left at end of ramp and go north on 172 for 4.5 miles. You will pass Southbury Training School. You will come to a stop sign at the intersection of Rt. 67. Go straight through the intersection and travel a tenth of a mile. Bear to the left – this is Upper Grassy Hill Rd. Proceed seven-tenths of a mile and I am on the left with a white mailbox across the street. The address is 580 of the road mentioned just previously.

Heading SOUTH towards Danbury: Take Exit 15 (Southbury / Rt. 6 / Rt. 67) Turn right at end of ramp and go north on 6/67 for 1.5 miles to a stop light. Turn left (on rt. 67) and travel 2 miles. You will come to a stop sign at the intersection of Rt. 172. Turn right and travel a tenth of a mile. Bear to the left – this is Upper Grassy Hill Rd. Proceed seven-tenths of a mile and I am on the left with a white mailbox across the street. The address is 580 of the road mentioned just previously.

Hope to see you! : )
