wolf, I am 47 and still menstruating and am on the pill, yet I have had occassional hot flashes, insomnia, and just this past week during my period, some dizziness. I was all set to go to the doctor until I found this web site. Did you get results of your blood test? I probably will still go just to rule out anything else.

Actually I have a regular prescription for the dizziness but I'm afraid to take it because I was taking it the last time right before I ended up in the hospital and I just don't know if it triggered it or not! I am so afraid to take anything because of it. The medical doctor even gave me a mild relaxer for the anxiety attacks that I was getting, and that too is still in the cupboard. One of the side effects was dizziness!! That makes alot of sense!! I just might have to give in and try it! I was also taking Black Cohosh until the headaches started and found out that even though they are natural, they can give headaches!! Listen to me, I sound like a hypocondriact(how ever you spell it)! Actually I believe in taking anything natural if at all possible. Bobbi54, what is HTP? And how much of the other stuff do you take? If your dog isn't eating, then there's nothing to poop out. Is she peeing? Because if not, that is a life-threatening emergency and your dog needs to be seen by a vet NOW. Aspirin and rimadyl should NEVER be combined as serious consequences can result, especially stomach ulcers and liver toxicity. You need a washout period of a couple of days at least before changing from aspirin to rimadyl or vice versa. Add phenobarbital to the list and liver toxicity becomes even more likely. Most dogs with stomach ulcers and/or liver toxicity don't eat and don't move. I have no idea what reloxofin is. Closest I got on a search is raloxifene is an osteoporosis drug which makes no sense to me giving it to a dog for vestibular signs. Amoxicillin, while not harmful, isn't doing a bit of good. If there is an infection causing vestibular signs, it is in the brain or in the ears, and amoxi doesn't penetrate either of those tissues well enough to do any good. If I suspect an infection causing vestibular signs, my arsenal of antibiotics is ciprofloxacin, clindamycin, and doxycycline. That combination gets most of the common aerobic, anaerobic, and intracellular and tick-born causes of neurological signs. If that combo doesn't relieve at least some of the clinical signs within 3 days, then the cause of the signs isn't likely to be bacterial. Is the vet sure there isn't a back problem? Is there a head tilt? If there is no head tilt and no nystagmus (eyeballs twitching side to side) then it is not vestibular disease and probably either a brain problem or a spinal problem. Also most dogs with senile vestibular disease get over it without treatment. They usually don't just lay around, and their coordination improves obviously over a short period of time. Maybe not 100% better, but definitely better within a couple of days to a week. I strongly recommend another visit to the vet. In the least, your dog needs a chem panel and cbc to make sure that combination of drugs isn't killing her, because it can. I hope whatever is going on is easily fixable and she gets better soon.

Thanks Coastal for the clarification. Though I'm still enamored by your kitchen, it's enlighting about some of your thoughts. When you talked about maybe wanting something possibly different with your countertops, though I love your quartz, I was wondering if I would grow tired of the simplicity. Some indecision there but closer then most things. Davidrol, I so know what you mean! In this case it's a bit different, since we already know we are changing EVERYTHING inside and outside of the house (furniture included). For that reason, we don't want to make the kitchen so modern that it sticks out like a sore thumb. I think that was one of the key attributes that I loved about coastal moderns kitchen. It was modern but gave a welcoming feeling. LavendarLass, those cabinets were just a bit too modern for us, but the openess is something we are trying to mimic. Awesome sink. Boxerpups, don't worry. You can't confuse me anymore then we already are. I've been sharing this thread with my DH and discussing our options. He pointed out that since we are more then likely (again no absolute decision) to go with a wood flooring, having wood cabinets wouldn't give us the constrast. Having glass uppers would seem best, but we are VERY, VERY concerned about what the items we would prefer storing in there. Besides dinnerware and glassware, we'd prefer to put items for baking, mismatched pitchers, etc. If we were willing (and we might be) to store those "ugly" items into the pantry, this would open up options. In this case though, I think it would be options that we could use. As I'm reflecting with all of this outpouring of help, I'm starting to feel a movement and direction out of the circle.
