Your peppers should recover well. If you want, in a week or so you can give them a light dose of nitrogen heavy fertilizer (first number is nitrogen, as in 20-10-10)to help them compensate for leaf damage/loss. Personally, I'd just keep them watered, make sure bugs don't move in, and let them recover on their own.

FATHERS?!?! I had one, I am one. My son(17) gives me that "I do not believe it" look a lot. When it comes to thing with many keys,buttons & blinking lights he is right. IMO,All sweet peppers are green(unripe/ immature) until they ripen, then they are red(the only kind for many years)yellow,orange or purple. IMO, you are right, but I eat them all & they are great. By the way cucumber are eaten immature in my house( before they turn yellow).

The best tasting peppers by far are those allowed to ripen on the plant. So you have a yield vs good eating problem. I let all my peppers ripen. I simply put more plants into the ground. I run over a hundred pepper plants. I have red ripe peppers now. Chimayo and Espanola are ripe as are some others. Bill, could you help me? You have great knowledge around this part of town... I have an overwintered bhut doing great in a 5 gallon pot (would probably be doing better in my raised beds. It seems to never ever dry out in the greenhouse) with 2 1" pods, and close to a hundred blossoms. I have an overwintered habanero in a 3-4 gallon pot but it was quite small. Is blossoming, but growth completely stunted and it's leaves are all turning yellow instead of deep dark green. Leaves are droopy. It's not doing very well but don't have a pic of it yet. The pot is too wet firstly as I haven't watered them for 3 weeks but it's been raining almost every night and it's humid in the greenhouse. I tried giving it a weak dose of nutrients with no effect. Planted in a semi 5/1/1 mix that may contain more sapwood than I would like. Kind of rushed things and didn't do them as intended due to an injury. Suggestions? Was thinking of trying to find room in my raised bed seeing as it's small but it's already cramped. Or repotting it and taking more care in sorting out sapwood from pine bark. Would that shock the plant?
