Suggestions for runner to compliment adjoining rug
Comments (2)I had that rug in my dining room years ago; my mother had that rug in her iving room, many, many years ago. It is a Karastan staple. Easiest way to find a good match is find a darker tone as the fringe. Works every time…I did it with grasscloth on the wall; my mother did it with her upholstery....See MoreKitchen rug suggestions and advice needed!
Comments (12)I’d get a rug. They make a lot of nice synthetic ones these days. I’ve never had tripping issues with mine but can see why that may be a concern for some. You can spot clean if you spill something. I like Rug Dr. carpet/spot cleaner. There are a bunch of ones out there. I even ha e scrubbed spots off my wool/silk rug under the kitchen table. I’ve also used a shampooer/carpet cleaner on my synthetic rugs. I borrowed my mom‘s Hoover. Try esale rugs thru have free shipping and free returns. Make sure to put a good quality mat underneath. I love seeing Oriental style rugs in kitchens. I’d pick one with red but I really like red. :). Definitely would look nice to add color. Then I’d repeat colors possibly in towels, washcloths, art and accessories....See MoreKitchen rug suggestions
Comments (1)The ergonomic cushion mats are really nice for relieving back and foot strain when cooking, but those normally aren't too wide. If you can get a rug to cover the entire area, maybe go with that as it will be fewer edges to cause tripping. It's really up to your preference and what you can find. Don't put anything flammable too close to the oven....See MoreEntryway Rug, Runner & Stair Runner help

We will be renovating that living room you see from the foyer and it will have hardwood floors. We are not renovating the foyer but would like to tie in these styles. Kitchen and mud room on the side of the house will have these color schemes:...See MoreOlychick
